Feedback on our trip to Morroco.

📍 Presence in Rabat and Casablanca

We have been working with Morocco for several years, which is why the DataCup team visited the country from May 2 to 7. During this period, we experienced a wealth of encounters and activities.

📻 We were honored to take part in the Moroccan Forum of Associative and Community Media, organized by the  DW Academy.Medeersat.com school

This event was an invaluable opportunity to exchange with influential players in the media and press world. The enriching discussions we had enabled us to better understand the challenges and opportunities facing the associative media sector in Morocco.

During a small-group workshop, we introduced the DataCup, our innovative solution: we were delighted by the interest and quality of the questions we got from these field players.

🛠 Workshop organized by Colmena

We also took part in a workshop organized by Colmena, held on the same day. During this workshop, we were able to discover the latest features available on their application.

The Colmena application is a digital toolbox for producing radio programs and podcasts.

Community radio stations in Kenya had specifically requested the app to work in areas with limited internet connectivity. That's why Colmena adopted the offline first" approach"Medeersat.com school

This offline theme is obviously where our two initiatives have seen synergies emerge.

🏫 Instructive visit in a Medersat.com school network.

Our visit in one of the  Medeersat.com school  was particulary memorable.

We have been closely following the use of this innovative solution in classrooms, with elementary school children. It was an extremely enriching experience.

We warmly thank the teachers and the principal for their exceptional welcome and availability, which made our visit very instructive. Find out more on the project page.

  🤝 Promising encounters and collaborations

During our stay, we had the opportunity to have a working meeting with the ank of Africa foundation coordinator. We also met the acceleration laboratory of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the director of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS)

These exchanges have been stimulating and have opened up new perspectives for collaboration. Together, we are considering developing initiatives aimed at improving access to information in remote regions of countries where the foundations are established.

🌟 Renewed motivation

The positive feedback and fruitful exchanges we have had throughout this journey encourage us to continue our work with even greater determination. We have seen how the DataCup provides a concrete solution for education and access to information, and we are looking forward to developing more partnerships in order to impact more people..
